The State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH) is a state agency which manages and conducts hearings in contested cases involving other state agencies.
SOAH came to OnRamp in need of a a website redesign. Because the site had not been updated for several years, the information on the site was out of synch with the navigation and much of the content was hard to find. They wanted a clean, spare look to the new site with an emphasis on informational organization.
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) were used to facilitate ADA compliance and make the look of the site easier to maintain by multiple employees within the agency. The site is largely free from tables and the drop-down navigation allows a user to tab through which enables full screen reader accessibility. OnRamp added redundancy to the navigation through both top and left side navigation as well as icons to identify non-html links and links which open in other sites.
