Email | Outlook 07 - MS Exchange

  1. Click the Start button and go to Control Panel.
  2. Click where it says, "Switch to Classic View" (on the upper left).
  3. Double-click the Mail icon.
  4. Click on the button labeled "Show Profiles..."
  5. Click "Add."
  6. Give the profile a name (e.g. Outlook) and click "OK."
  7. Leave the slots for Name, Email Address and Password blank and put a checkmark next to "Manually configure server settings or additional server types." Click "Next."
  8. Select "Microsoft Exchange" and click "Next."
  9. Next to where it says, "Microsoft Exchange Server:" type, "exchange2007.staff.onr.com." For "User Name:" supply your first and last name. Then click "More Settings..."
  10. Make sure that "Automatically detect connection state" is selected. Then click on the Security tab.
  11. Uncheck "Encrypt data between Microsoft Office Outlook and Microsoft Exchange." And where it says, "Logon network security:" you should click the down-arrow and select "Password Authentication (NTLM)." Now, click on the Connection tab.
  12. Make sure "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP" is checked, and click on "Exchange Proxy Settings."
  13. In the slot beneath where it says, "Use this URL to connect to my proxy server for Exchange:" type "exchange2007.staff.onr.com." Then make sure the checkboxes next to where it says, "On fast networks..." and "On slow networks..." are both checked. Click "OK."
  14. Click "OK" again.
  15. Click "Next."
  16. Click "Finish."
  17. Click "OK" again, close the Control Panel, and you're done.
